Therapy for ADHD
therapy for ADHD
For those who have, or think they might have, ADHD. When we are neurodivergent, we think beyond the limits of how others think. Learning to make this an asset involves its own skillset. This can be freeing and exciting, but it can also come at a cost. Many neurodivergent people find themselves misunderstood, struggling to keep up with the demands of daily life and chronically undervaluing themselves. It can be isolating and painful to hold different values from others and to be measured in ways that don’t fit us.
I can support you to:
Understand your condition better, recognising and validating the ways in which it underpins your struggles
Come to recognise the influence of co-occurring conditions that may also affect you
Disentangle from the overwhelm
Cultivate your own sense of power to change your life for the better
Develop an ongoing sense of how you’re doing and what you need to feel better
Raise your awareness of how your neurodivergence strengthens and drives you, and offers you gifts others don’t have
Break down large problems into smaller, manageable steps that actually fit into your life
Meet the frustrations and setbacks that are part of any healing journey
